    1. EmPOWER Center

The EmPOWER Center's mission is to create a culture where all members of The Claremont Colleges respect and look out for each other, and where students impacted by sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking receive holistic support and care.

The Center provides free, confidential advocacy and support to 7C students impacted by serial violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.

Students interested in receiving counseling may contact Dr. Nancy Arzate at (909) 623-1619 during normal business hours to set up an appointment.

The Center works collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and community partners to build awareness and sensitivity and provide educational programs to the 7Cs community around healthy relationships, sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.

The EmPOWER Center welcomes all gender identities and expressions, serial orientations, ages, abilities, ethnic and racial identities, religious affiliations, cultural identities, and immigration statuses. We are an open and affirming space for all.

Interested in collaborating with the EmPOWER Center? Have questions? The Director of the EmPOWER Center, Rima Shah, is holding open hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 3-4 p.m. starting April 4, 2016. Rima is a confidential resource. The EmPOWER Center is at 1030 Dartmouth Ave. Rima can also be reached at RShahEmPOWER@cuc.claremont.edu or 909-607-2689.
