LCI Characterization Facility (LCICF) is an open-access microscopy and microanalysis center for soft-matter and nano-materials. LCICF also serves as a center of hands-on training and education on advanced analytical techniques.
- Equipment, Features and Services: LCICF hosts 6 major labs: (cryo-)transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, electron beam writer, softmatter characterization, and sample preparation (featuring plunge freezer, high pressure freezer, cryo-ultramicrotome, freeze fracture, etc.). LCICF is currently providing world-class training, collaboration and service to 70+ research groups and 15+ industrial partners.
