The chapel, which was built in 1875, has no religious markings in its interior and is used by many different religious groups on the Oxford campus. The interior was renovated in 1970 and additional renovations were completed in 1988 and 2002.  The Chapel is currently used for small student assemblies, faculty lecture series, special speakers, chorus concerts, and an occasional wedding. It was the third chapel to be located on the college campus. There are many religious groups on campus.  Every major world religion is represented with a student group on campus and over 50 different religions or sects of religions are represented at Oxford.
