110 Few Circle, Oxford, GA 30054

Originally named Candler Hall in honor of Emory President Warren Akin Candler (1888–1898), the building first served as Oxford’s library, beginning in 1897.  In 1969, the building was renovated for use as a student center. Today the student center houses Campus Life, Housing, and Religious Life offices, as well as the bookstore. The building holds the Akin room and the Rathskellar—both popular meeting spaces that can be reserved by students for events or meetings. Student involvement is at the core of Oxford.  Over 95% of the student body participates in at least 1 extra-curricular activity. Oxford has over 60 student led organizations on campus ranging from ultimate Frisbee to Volunteer Oxford and the International Student Organization.
