The former Hopkins Hall was built in 1885, during the presidency of Isaac Stiles Hopkins, to house his pioneering technology department, after which Hopkins left Emory to serve as the first president of Georgia Tech. Following Hopkins’ departure, his technology hall was converted into a gym, then into an indoor pool. Also used an as armory during World War I, the building was renovated in 1990 to house the Admission Office and is now home to the Office of Enrollment Services, including Admission, Financial Aid, and Records.
