      Location: 1001 N. Amherst Ave.

One of the College's most delightful places, this enclosed space was originally designed as a European medieval-style cloister garden to be located east of a proposed chapel. Arcades from the north and south sides of the chapel were designed to lead visitors to the Oratory in the garden's northeast corner. However, a College Chapel was never built, and the Margaret Fowler Memorial Garden now has a special quality of being a "secret garden" at the heart of this garden campus.
