      Catawba College created a green revolving fund in 2012 that will loan money to finance on-campus investments in clean energy and efficiency projects. With this commitment, Catawba joined 41 other institutions in the U.S. that are charter members of the Billion Dollar Green Challenge.

      In 2007, Catawba signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment and set a goal to achieve climate neutrality by 2030.
