The area behind the housing complex has been transformed into the beautiful new Grasslands Garden, creating an inviting outdoor gathering space for students. The garden has been thoughtfully redesigned with six raised garden beds, refreshed landscaping, and comfortable seating, with string lighting planned for the future. Four of the six raised beds have already been planted with herbs and flowers, while two have been reserved for students interested in cultivating their own plants.
The garden also reflects the generosity of the NYMC community. The bluestones incorporated throughout the garden were donated by Anthony Sozzo, M.S.Ed., M.A., associate dean for student affairs and director of student financial planning and student activities.
