The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is located in the basement level of Crounse Hall and offers a variety of pedagogical supports for members of the campus community, including instructional design consultations and seminars, academic technology services, and assistance with equipment and room reservations. CTL manages and provides support for campus-wide systems, such as Moodle and Ensemble, and offers flexible hours for faculty, staff and students to explore, develop, and create assignments in our Mac-based Media Lab.
The Media Lab consists of Macintosh computers equipped with software programs installed for video-editing, audio-editing and creative projects.
The audio video suite consists of sound dampened walls and includes 2 Mac workstations. These workstations provide audio and video centered programs including: Logic Pro, Audacity, Garage Band, iMovie, iDvd, Photoshop, Blender, Comic Life and Anime’ Pro.
The Experimental Classroom is also part of CTL and is located in the basement of Young Hall (110). This room is for anyone who wants to learn more about technology and how it can help you teach, learn, create, explore, and have fun. This space is meant to be experimental and dynamic. As technologies and tools are tested and used, some may go away and others may appear. As that happens, instructions will be available on how to use anything new in the room.
Visit the CTL section of the Centre website to find out more and reserve the space.
