Sorensen Hall contains classrooms, the college business office, human resources, facilities services and the offices of advancement and alumni relations. It also houses information technology services.
The Mailing Center in the basement is where students may ship or receive packages, letter mail and buy stamps.
Sorensen Hall has two gender-inclusive restrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor along the west side of the building.
Augustana purchased the building in 1967 from the Board of Publications of the Lutheran Church in America (LCA). It had been the home of the Augustana Book Concern.
Sorensen Hall is named in honor of Dr. C.W. Sorensen, sixth president of Augustana.
