Berry College Reservoir
Berry's water system was a gift of automobile magnate Henry Ford in 1927-28. The reservoir enabled Berry to be completely self-sufficient and ensured an ample water supply for many years to come. The water-treatment plant was built by B.M. Hall and Sons of Atlanta. All of the pipe was donated by the American Cast Iron Company of Birmingham, AL. The Hall Company also built the dam with the aid of steam shovels donated by Mr. Ford. Later Mr. Hamrick and some of his students added some layers of earth to heighten the dam.
