Medical services for traditional students are provided solely by Eagle Physicians at their new facility located adjacent to campus at 1210 New Garden Road. The office is conveniently northwest of campus and is easily accessible to students by way of the sidewalk along New Garden Road. They are a fully staffed clinic of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, along with support staff committed to care for our students.
Eagle Physicians purchased the land from the College to build their new facility in 2012.
The Student Health Services office is located on campus at 1203 Rachel Carson Court. While medical care is not administered at this site, the office maintains students’ immunization records and some medical records, in addition to offering supportive services to students and their parents regarding medical health questions and concerns.
All basic healthcare needs are provided for Guilford traditional students at no charge. A list of covered services (no co-pay required) is available here.
In addition to these services provided at no cost, Eagle will accept many insurance plans (including Guilford’s student health insurance plan through United Health Care) for treatment of more complicated issues or for testing not included in the list of covered services. Some of these services will require an appointment. Students must present their Guilford College ID at check-in. It is important that students have a copy of their insurance card with them here at school and that the student has means (credit/debit/cash) to pay his or her co-pay or any charges that may be incurred due to an illness or testing not covered by our agreement with Eagle Physicians.
