Celebration, a welded bolted and painted aluminum sculpture by Jerry Peart, was commissioned in 1984 to mark ASU's centennial. A graduate of the ASU sculpture program, Peart designed this abstract work to reflect "the strength and power of the university." The Arizona native has completed more than 30 large-scale public sculptures in major U.S. cities, including Chicago, Atlanta, Pasadena and Charlotte, North Carolina.
