Memorial Library serves the study and research needs of Berry College students, faculty and staff. In addition to offering extensive circulating and reference collections and access to numerous research databases, the library also serves as a hub of student activity, especially in the evening hours. Students can be found at tables and in study rooms for collaborative group work and study groups; in quiet spaces and cozy nooks for individual work and study; at one of the many computer or printer stations throughout the library; and in the Java City coffee shop and POD market grabbing a quick beverage or snack. Memorial Library also houses student resources including The Writing Center, where students can receive assistance on all types of academic papers, and the Academic Success Center, where students can receive tutoring in all major subject areas.
First opened in October 1926, Memorial Library is one of the oldest buildings on campus still utilized by students every day. Additions to the building were constructed in 1957, 1976, and 1988, with renovations and improvements continuing to this day.
