Barstow Memorial Library (Keep)
George E. Barstow Memorial Building (formerly called Barstow Library) was built in 1940 with funds given by Mrs. Barstow of New York, in memory of her son. It served the high school and academy as a library and housed some 7,000 volumes, periodicals and audiovisual materials. After the academy closed, the library was used by the WinShape students as a study area, and later by Chick-fil-A as a conference center. On June 1, 2001, the building became part of the elementary & middle school. The Barstow building has a clock with chimes that toll the hours, a natural stone fireplace in the reading room and a balcony area used
for study space.
