In addition to being the central resource for books and journal subscriptions for UF students and faculty, Shafer Library serves as a quiet study space for students. The library features 15 group and four individual study rooms equipped with whiteboards. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the building.
The Learning Commons area on the first floor gives students and faculty a space to come together to focus, brainstorm and work on group projects. The Center for Teaching Excellence and the ITS Knowledge Bar are also located in the library.
