There are two Franciscan Sisters who are active in campus life, Sister Damien Marie Savino and Sister Veronica Schueler. The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist at St. Thomas have become part of the fabric of UST since 1999. Today two sisters live in the convent on campus. Sr. Savino teaches classes, takes students on study abroad, leads weekly Augustine without Walls coffeehouse discussions and advises clubs like Celts for life. Sr. Schueler is employed as a lawyer with Catholic Charities. |
