NASA is returning to the Moon with the launch of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) to pursue fundamental questions about history of earth, the solar system, the universe, and about our place in them. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) is one of seven instruments aboard the LRO engaged in a mapping mission of nearest celestial neighbor. Visitors can tour the LROC Science Operations Center Visitor Gallery to see the largest images and to see ASU scientists and mission specialists at work.
