Completed in 1921, the “fruit, cut flower, and nicer vegetable garden” highlighted the better-behaved vegetables like lettuce and asparagus to be served in Reynolda’s dining room. The garden reflects Thomas Sears’ designs for fences, arches, pathways, and shelters, and some plantings like peonies, climbing roses, and grapevines, from the original garden.
Today, vegetables grown here are picked by staff members and volunteers and donated to local community organizations.
