      1. Lemur Center

        The Duke University Lemur Center was established in 1966. The center, located about two miles northwest of campus on the edge of Duke Forest, is home to 15 different endangered lemur species and six other prosimian species.

         

        The Lemur Center earned LEED™ Silver Certification for its ample open space, highly reflective rooftop, and features that encourage sustainable commuting.
