Like many of the houses that now house various university offices along East Michigan Avenue, the Meadows Alumni House was built during the 1920's Florida land boom. It underwent a major renovation in the early 1990's, at which time it came under the exclusive use of the Office of Alumni Engagement. It is named for Gary Meadows, who served as the dean of admissions and as associate vice president for alumni engagement during his 43 years at the university. The house's memorabilia and yearbook collections are open to alumni during business hours, and alumni are welcome to reserve its meeting spaces for formal gatherings, seminars or meetings.
