Purchased by the college in June of 1989, the Kuyper Cottage is located at 124 East 13th Street and can house up to 8 students.
This cottage was named in honor of Dr. Lester Kuyper, an alumnus of Hope College in 1928, and the Emersonian Fraternity. Dr. Kuyper also served as a pastor from 1932 to 1939 when he returned to Holland to assume a position as a professor of the Old Testament at Western Theological Seminary from 1939 to 1974. He also was the interim president of New Brunswick/Western Theological Seminary from 1971 to 1973.
