The building houses the Claude L. Shaver Theatre; this facility hosts many LSU Theatre and LSU Opera performances, and seats up to 350 patrons.
Regardless of individual discipline, students who enroll in the College of Music & Dramatic Arts receive a wealth of resources and support, from newly renovated performance venues across campus, to hundreds of public performance opportunities each year, and passionate, committed classmates who foster a unique camaraderie.
Built in 1932, the building has gone through several renovations.
