The
Tenth Street Living Fence parallels the Tenth Street trail. It is designed to attract pollinators and provide a green border between Eagle Ridge housing and Chadron residents. The mixture of trees, plants, shrubs and grasses also provides shelter for small wildlife. The 620-foot long, 15-foot wide prairie planting blooms from Fur Trade Days in July through the Cross Country fall running season. In winter, the Living Fence serves as a neighborhood snow catcher that supplies berries and seeds for birds.
