Completed in 1934, Hulley Tower originally stood 116 feet tall and contained an 11-bell carillon, as well as a mausoleum for Stetson University's second president, Lincoln Hulley, and his wife, Eloise. Hulley served as the university's president from 1904 to 1934. Hulley and his family had the tower built as a gift to the university. Over time, the infrastructure of the tower was compromised by accumulated weather damage and, in 2005, the university, citing safety concerns, dismantled the upper part of the tower, leaving the mausoleum intact.
