Reynolda Meadow Restoration
In partnership with CEES and a host of other university affiliates, the Reynolda Gardens Meadow project launched in spring 2013 with a grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The project establishes 16.1 acres of the Reynolda property for prairie plants and animals to inhabit. The project aims to grow more native forms of plant and animal life that existed in the Piedmont area before being developed. The process will ultimately help grow some of the 700 species of plants now considered extremely rare in North Carolina.
