As the primary event space of the Franklin Humanities Institute, the Ahmadieh Family Lecture Hall hosts many public lectures, conferences, screenings, and other programs year-round (http://www.fhi.duke.edu/events). Located in Bay 4 of Smith Warehouse, the lecture hall is also the permanent home of Haiti: History Embedded in Amber (http://www.fhi.duke.edu/haitiamber/), a public art collaboration between the renowned Haitian-American artist Edouard Duval-Carrié and the faculty and students of the FHI Haiti Lab.
