    1. Dharmālaya: Dharmic Meditation Center

Opened in 2021, was named Dharmālaya, Sanskrit for a “place for the Dharmas.” We generally use the name “Dharmic Meditation Center” (DMC) to be inclusive of those Dharmas who do not strongly emphasize Sanskrit or South Asian roots. It features shrines made of teak wood from Myanmar, and carved by Muslim and Hindu artisans in India. The icons were carved out of Makarana white marble from the same quarry as the stone of the Taj Mahal and the marble floor was sourced from Vietnam. The DMC is located in Leavey Center, near Starbucks.
