Gertrude S. Bergstrom Hall was built in 1966 and is home to incoming Honors Program students. Each of the hall’s three floors holds a central lounge, including a newly renovated first-floor kitchen and spacious study areas with rooms overlooking the Fox River. Bergstrom’s lounges serve as much more than spaces to study and socialize: Over the years, many honors courses have even been taught in-house, with professors setting up class in Bergstrom’s large basement and second-floor community spaces.
